Network Engineer

BIOVAC is one of the leading sterile vaccine manufacturers rooted in Africa, with our core purpose being to "protect life". We are looking to hire a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive and meticulous Network Engineer to join a goal-oriented team.
Job Purpose:
The IT Network Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical support and expertise to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of Biovac’s IT / OT networks.
Minimum qualification(s):
Required:
CompTIA Network+.
Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 1–3 or equivalent networking certification.
Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
Additional Advantage:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Experience & industry knowledge:
Required:
5–10 years in networking experience Forti hardware
Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software configurations.
Strong understanding of OT environment in production industry
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to respond to network incidents and assist in root cause analysis
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage and hold third party Service providers accountable
Keen eye for detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles
Additional Advantage:
Working knowledge of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing related legislation
At least 3 years’ experience at supervisor level
Experience in quality and regulatory compliance within a cGMP
